Ho Chi Minh City: Upgrading Fee Collection System At 3 “Hot” BOT Station In The City

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee approved the investment project to upgrade the service fee system using automatic electronic road does not stop at 3 BOT toll stations in the city.

These stations are located at 3 gates of “hot” in terms of the traffic jam, especially the container truck into the port of Cat Lai, District 2.

The project is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1, 4-lane investment in ETC automatic non-stop road services at the toll station, 2 lanes in each direction. In the second phase, to invest 4 more lanes of non-stop automatic electronic road service with 4 lanes already invested at the toll station in phase 1, raising the total number of service lanes using automatic electronic road ETC at the toll station to 8 lanes, each direction is circulated 4 lanes.

The second project is an investment project to upgrade the system of collecting services using the automatic electronic road without stopping at Ha Noi Expressway receiving station belonging to Ha Noi Highway Expansion Project and National Road No.1 (from the junction of the second station to Tan Van intersection).

The toll station takes the Hanoi Highway on the Ha Noi Highway, District 9, Thu Duc District in both directions.

The project is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1, 4-lane investment in ETC automatic non-stop road services at the toll station, 2 lanes in each direction. In Phase 2, to invest in 4 additional lane services using non-stop automatic ETC with 4 lanes already invested at the toll station in phase 1, raising the total number of service lanes using automatic electronic road ETC at the toll station to 8 lanes, each direction is circulated 4 lanes.

The city also approved the investment project to upgrade the system of collecting services using the non-stop electronic road at the An Suong – An Lac gas station under the BOT project to renovate and upgrade the National Highway No.1, An Suong – An Lac section, Binh Tan District.

The An Suong – An Lac ferry terminal on Highway 1 includes the main station and 6 substations. The main station is located on Highway 1 in two directions. The sub-stations located at the branch lines include: Ba Hom, Huong Lo 2, Tan Ky – Tan Quy, Vinh Loc and Go May.

The project is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1, 4-lane investment in ETC automatic non-stop road services at main stations, 2 lanes and 13 lanes at sub-stations; invest in E-Tag card reader and CCTV cameras at the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong expressway overpass to control the traffic from the An Lac roundabout to the sub-station but not go through the main station.

In the second phase, to invest 4 more lane of non-stop automatic ETC with 4 lanes, invested in the main station at the first phase, raising the total number of service lanes using ETC electronic road at the main station to 8 lanes, each direction is circulated 4 lanes.

The above projects are aimed at limiting local traffic congestion, enhancing the capacity for traffic at service stations using road, limiting the status of vehicles waiting to cause environmental pollution caused by traffic emissions, energy saving; improve the quality of exploitation and direct service to the roads.
