Kien Giang province has held an investment promotion conference calling for trillions of dong in projects in the province. Notably, the province has or will approve investment projects on forest land.

In the list of planned projects calling for investment in Kien Giang province, notably U Minh Thuong ecological tourist site with the size of 200 ha, origin of forest land, in the U Minh Thuong national park.

In particular, it can be referred to as: project tourism area of ​​Ba Lu island archipelago (Kien Luong district), scale of 100 ha, investment capital of VND120 billion; Ta Lu – Mui Nai tourist resort (Ha Tien town), scale of 50 ha, investment capital of VND100 billion; The project of Bai Bang tourist service area (Ha Tien town) with the area of ​​29.4 hectares and investment capital of VND 60 billion; The project of the historical monument and scenic Binh San mountain (Ha Tien town), scale of 27.14 ha, investment capital of VND340 billion.

Previously, many projects in Phu Quoc have also converted from forest land into commercial land and tourism.

At the investment promotion forum, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang People’s Committee Le Thi Minh Phung said that natural conditions have made Kien Giang a potential tourist destination. The vast sea with 5 archipelagoes still untouched; There are mountains, forests, many scenic places and historical-cultural relics, suitable for the development of ecological tourism, convalescence with high quality; The weather is mild, so it is possible to travel, play and relax all year round.

About investment, up to now there are 680 investment projects, 32,497 hectares with a total registered capital of VND503.763 billion. Of which, 341 projects were put into operation, 17,676 hectares with total investment capital of VND 60,641 billion; 68 projects are under construction, 4,219 ha with total investment of VND115,410 billion; 271 projects are implementing investment procedures, scale 10,602 ha, with total investment capital VND327,713 billion. However, compared with the potential, advantages and conditions of Kien Giang, there is still a large area for development investment, “said Vice Chairman of Kien Giang province.

Kien Giang is calling for investment with 64 projects, focusing on clean agriculture and high technology agriculture. aquaculture on the sea; green shrimp farming; offshore fishing and post-fishing preservation; fishery center; the agricultural product transshipment; agricultural product processing industry; water supply and waste water treatment; recycled energy; tourism projects.

In addition, the province also invites infrastructure investment in industrial zones and clusters; seaports and river ports; Roads associated with urban development; worker housing; development of residential areas, trade centers; invested 500 beds in Phu Quoc resort.
