Kien Giang province calls for investment of nearly VND100,000 billion for two projects in Phu Quoc

The People’s Committee of Kien Giang province has approved the list of 2 projects calling for investment in Phu Quoc district in 2018 with a total investment capital of VND 97,740 billion.

These two projects are: Residential, commercial and service construction projects in Duong Dong township with the planned land area of ​​848ha and investment projects for construction of tourist and residential areas. The project is expected to be completed in Cua Can commune, Phu Quoc district, with a planned area of ​​238 ha. Thus, the total area of ​​the two super-projects is nearly 1,100ha, according to information from the Tender.

The status of the land of both projects is residential land, agricultural land, perennial land of households have not been cleared. The implementation period is 5 years.

Previously, in June, the People’s Committee of Kien Giang province approved the list of 3 projects calling for investment in Phu Quoc district with the total cost of implementing the project is estimated at VND2.960 billion.

The first is the investment project to build a combined hospital and resort complex, located in Bai Truong complex, Duong To commune, Phu Quoc district; The total land area planned for the project is 10.14 ha.

Secondly, the investment project to build a tourist and resort service area; It was built at Bai Thom Ecotourism Area, Bai Thom commune, Phu Quoc district with total land area of ​​42.66 ha. As expected, after completion, this project will be able to serve about 1,200 – 1,600 guests per day.

Thirdly, the investment project to build a garbage treatment plant was implemented in Duong To hamlet, Duong To commune, Phu Quoc district. The total land area used for the project is 5.25 ha. After  completing, the plant is expected to handle 150 tons of rubbish per day.
