Open Officially Ha Long – Haiphong Expressway and Bach Dang Bridge

After 4 years of construction, on 1 September , Quang Ninh official highway Ha Long – Hai Phong (including Bach Dang bridge).

Ha Long – Hai Phong expressway was officially commenced on 13 September 2014, is in the planning of development of Vietnam high speed road network to 2020 and orientation to 2030 with the route length is 25, 2km, including 2 projects with a total investment of nearly VND13,700 billion.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and cut the ribbon in the open, issuing orders through Bach Dang bridge car. 

In particular, the road linking  Ha Long city with Bach Dang bridge with the capital of 6.416 billion by the budget; Bach Dang bridge (about 5.4 km long), roads and junctions with the total investment capital of over VND7.200 billion.

Ha Long – Hai Phong expressway plays an important role in completing the link connecting the northern economic dynamic region of Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh. The distance between Halong and Hai Phong will be reduced to 25km instead of 70km as before. This is the first expressway in the country assigned by the Prime Minister to the province by the provincial budget and PPP.

At the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that Ha Long – Hai Phong high speed is a breakthrough project because it not only promotes high speed Hanoi – Hai Phong but also more important contribution. The economic triangle of the north, expanding the development space for the whole region.

The work was put to use also shorten the travel time – which is precious human resources. Moreover, this bridge is “Made in Vietnam”, affirming the autonomy of Vietnamese technology. The success of the project is the most concrete demonstration of thinking and thinking of the leaders of Quang Ninh province.

After this event, other key traffic works will also be invested in the form of public-private partnership of Quang Ninh province, which will be completed in 2018 such as Ha Long – Van Don expressway, Van Don International Airport, Hon Gai International Passenger Terminal.

Quang Ninh province is also completing the investment procedures to start the 80.2km highway from Van Don airport to Ho Chi Minh City. Mong Cai in the fourth quarter of 2018. Striving for the end of 2020, Quang Ninh province will complete the investment of nearly 200 km of expressways, contributing 1/10 of the number of highways completed nationwide according to the Government’s objectives.
