ACV announced the winning bidder of Long Thanh International Airport

The winner of the feasibility study (FS) of Long Thanh International Airport project is Japan Airport Consultants, Inc. (Japan).

ACV has officially announced the winning bidder to make feasibility report (FS) of Long Thanh airport project. This will be the unit that will concretize the design of the airport to complete the investment preparation process so that it can be started by the end of 2020.

Accordingly, the consultant awarded the feasibility study (FS) of Long Thanh International Airport project (Long Thanh International Airport) is a joint venture of Japan Airport Consultants, Inc. (Japan) – ADP Ingénierie (France) – Nippon Koei Co., LTd. – Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. (Japan) – Airport Design and Construction Consultancy One Member Limited Liability Company – Transport Engineering Design Inc. (Vietnam).

In addition, ACV also completed the contractor design specification for the “Bong Sen” architectural project (Heerim Architects & Planners Co., Ltd – South Korea) as a special subcontractor, Passenger terminal feasibility study in the consultancy package for the preparation of a comprehensive feasibility study report after the terminal architecture plan approved by Ministry of Transport in March 2018.

ACV is actively cooperating with contractors to finalize contracts so that they can sign the contract in early June, 2018, ensuring timely progress.

Long Thanh International Airport is one of the important national projects of the transportation sector. According to the plan, this work will strive to start work by the end of 2020 and put into operation by 2025 at the direction of the National Assembly, the Government.

Long Thanh International Airport is planned to reach grade 4F as decentralized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with the scale and capacity after completing all three stages of 100 million passengers per year and 5 million tons of cargo per year.

In the short term, Phase 1 will invest in the construction of a runway, a passenger terminal with a capacity of 25 million passengers a year, a cargo terminal of 1.2 million tons of cargo a year and auxiliary items the set.
