Bac Ninh will withdraw 18,600sqm of land from Viglacera for deliver to Samsung by 2055

The People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province has decided to withdraw 18,623 sqm of land from Viglacera Corporation – the company to deliver to Samsung Display Vietnam to use in 2055 with the purpose of building housing for workers.

People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province has issued a decision to withdraw 18,623 sqm, of land from Viglacera Corporation – a joint stock company to display Samsung Display Vietnam to use in 2055 to build housing for workers.

Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 381 / QD-UBND dated july 19 2018 on land acquisition and land allocation to SamSung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd., to build housing for workers (dormitory) SamSung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd., Located in Yen Trung Commune and Dong Tien Commune, Yen Phong District.

Bac Ninh will withdraw 18,600sqm of land from Viglacera

Specifically, Bac Ninh will allocate 6 682.0 m2 to Samsung in the form of land collection with the use of land to build housing for workers (dormitory). Land allocation deadline is October 17, 2012.

The remaining 11,941,0sqm will be allocated in the form of annual land lease, including land for trees and landscapes (6,790.1 sqm), land for traffic and parking for 5.150.9 sqm. Land lease term until October 17, 2055.

Also on July 19, the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province decided to allocate 74,100.5 m2 of land in Dong Phong commune, Yen Phong district (completed compensation and clearance of land, including 65,410.4 m2 of rice land, 1,350 , 3m2 of land for aquaculture, 1,142.9m2 of cemetery land, 5.128,5m2 of transport land, 1,068.4m2 of irrigation land for Viglacera to implement the project of investment, construction and trading infrastructure Yen Phong Industrial Park (phase 7.3) under the investment plan approved by the provincial People’s Committee in Decision No. 289 / QD-UBND dated February 27, 2006. Land lease term is until October 17,

It is known that Samsung factory in Bac Ninh has about 160,000 workers, equivalent to the population of a district. Life inside the Samsung Vietnam factory in Bac Ninh is no different than a miniature society.

In addition to its factory in Bac Ninh, Samsung has invested a total of $ 17 billion in Vietnam, with eight plants and one Research & Development Center (R & D), of which SEV (Bac Ninh) and SEVT (Thai Nguyen) is Samsung’s second largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world, SEHC (Ho Chi Minh City) is the largest consumer electronics factory in Southeast Asia, and SVMC is the largest R & D Samsung in Southeast Asia.

According to Samsung’s management, the demand for houses in Samsung’s factory quarters is expected to increase dramatically, because when Samsung invested in Bac Ninh, it drew close to hundreds of Samsung satellite businesses from Korea, China investing in Bac Ninh.
