Leader of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam said that this agency will coordinate building housing and apartment for workers in Hanoi with apartments from 30-50 sqm, the average cost of about VND 5 million / m2.
At the conference on the dialogue with capital workers, which took place on 19/5, Mai Duc Chinh – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor contacted the local to keep clean land for union building houses for workers.
“When the localities have clean land, we will build models of apartments and apartments with apartments from 30-50 sqm with an average cost of about VND5 million/sqm” said Mai Duc Chinh.
According to Mai Duc Chinh, about 30sqm apartment will have mezzanines, enough room, bedroom and toilet, will cost about 150 million depending on each floor so workers can buy, or rent. In addition, the apartment also comes with kindergarten, supermarket, infrastructure to serve workers.

According to the project, in the year 2017, the country will pilot the construction of 10 institutions for workers in industrial zones and continue to build 4 more institutions in the period 2018 – 2020.
On April 22, the General Confederation of Labor started construction of an institution in an industrial zone in Quang Nam.
