Accordingly, Hai Phong Department of Transportation was assigned by the People’s Committee of Hai Phong to be the representative of the investor, executing the project is the consortium of contractors including: Bridge Joint Stock Company 75, Dat Phuong Joint Stock Company , Thang Long Corporation – JSC, Metal Corporation 4 HJC Investment Group JSC and Thanh Phat Construction Company Limited.

According to Doan Xuan Dan, director of the project management department of transport projects under the Hai Phong Department of Transport, the project was implemented to improve the capacity of Binh Bridge, improve operation saved To avoid congestion, minimize traffic accidents at crossroads and railways, and to create a favorable connection between the inner and outer areas and the industrial parks in the city with National Highway 5 and Highway 10.

The project consists of three main categories, including the red road with the width of 50.5m, Bach Dang road with the width of 45.5m, the access road to the bridge (with the direction of the bridge) with the width of 41m. , the branch road turns from Hong Bang Road to Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 2 to Bach Dang Road with a width of 13m.

Regarding bridge items, the bridge from Binh – Ring Road 2 has 14 spans, about 432.2 m long; Binh Bang – Hong Bang Bridge with 4 spans of 123.1 m long; Hong Bang branch – Binh bridge with 5 spans of 103.1 m long; Hong Bang branch – Belt 2 consists of 5 spans of about 92m long and the Ring Road 2 – Bach Dang road about 92m long.

Another item is the underground tunnel of Hong Bang – Bach Dang with a 190 m long tunnel, two tunnel openings of 140 m … and some other auxiliary systems.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tung – Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee said that in recent years, Haiphong’s economy has high growth rate, thus increasing revenue for the budget and have the financial resources to reinvest in construction, To improve the transport infrastructure and urban areas in order to serve the people and create conditions for enterprises to develop.

Under the plan, the project will be completed within 18 months from the commencement date.
