Therefore, before Son Tra is oriented to develop “become ecological tourism center, high-class resort special South Central Coast and the country” (in the master plan development of tourism Son Tra, Da Nang city to 2025, orientation to 2030), the Association expressed deep concern.

This will reduce the area of ​​the forest, increase the rate of natural habitat loss, increase the pressure, the ability to find food and shelter of vulnerable organisms. , prone to extinction.

On the other hand, the construction of many hotel projects by businesses, if not strictly managed, would compromise security and defense layout and threaten national defense strategies once they can. transferred to foreign partners under the Enterprise Law.

“To build a hotel takes a few years, but to have a forest like Son Tra takes hundreds of years.”

In order for the city’s tourism industry to become a spearhead economic sector, sustainable development and environmentally friendly, the Association would like to recommend the status quo, not building new establishments in Son Tra. (Da Nang now has nearly 600 hotels with nearly 22,000 rooms, the city is quite capable of receiving up to 15 million visitors per year)

Besides, only Son Tra planning to become a place to visit and enjoy the natural landscape with strict requirements on the behavior of visitors. To minimize the use of motorized traffic to cause noise and pollution.

Limiting the implementation of projects on the coastal shelf adjacent to Son Tra Mountain increases the risk of destroying coastal reefs, changing currents, destroying coastal areas, socio-economic impacts of the population. .
