DaNang Spent More Than $23 Milion To Build A 3-Floor Overpass

The traffic to the west of Tran Thi Ly Bridge will be started construction in early 2018 with the total cost of over $23 million to solve the traffic jam.

Recently, Le Van Lam, Director of Danang Transport Construction Project Management Board, said that he had submitted to the Department of Transport the design of the triangular bridge project on the western side of the bridge Tran Thi Ly (Da Nang city).

Accordingly, this intersection will be constructed on three levels. The upper deck will be overpassed by steel, the ground floor will make a circle and the bottom floor will be underground. Total investment for this project is expected to be $23 million.

Lam said this is the optimal design options to reduce costs during the construction process. This project will not have to carry out site clearance so it will save a huge budget.

It is known that the intersection of Tran Thi Ly Bridge is the intersection of main roads such as 2/9, Duy Tan Road, Nui Thanh. The area has very high traffic density so frequent congestion occurs, especially during peak hours.

“This intersection will handle traffic jams in the central routes of Hai Chau District. When completed, the west bank and the east bank of the Han River will be more convenient to avoid traffic jams, traffic congestion as at the same time reduce the load for the bridge”, Lam said.

Mr. Lam said that the design will continue to receive comments widely from the professional agencies, people to complete and make the final decision.
