At 10 o’clock, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung announced the inauguration and officially put Cao Lanh Bridge into use.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said: High Bridge is an important project connecting the banks of the Tien River, fulfilling the longevity of the people of Dong Thap in particular and the Mekong Delta in general.
The Mekong Delta is an area of great importance for socio-economic development. In which Cao Canh bridge project and Cao Lanh bridge link, Vam Cong bridge belonging to the project linking the central Mekong delta area is an important transportation project with the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province. and the Mekong Delta in general; It contributes to enhance the competitiveness of the Mekong Delta as well as the competitiveness of the country.

Cao Lanh Bridge was started on October 19, 2013, after nearly 4.5 years of construction, the project was completed and accepted by the State Council of Acceptance acceptance and put into use.
The project is funded by grants from the Australian Government, loans from the Asian Development Bank and counterpart funds of the Government of Vietnam with a total construction cost of around VND7,500 billion. Cuu Long Transport Infrastructure Development and Management Company Limited is the representative of the project owner; Design consultant and construction supervisor is CDM SMITH Inc (USA) – WSP FINLAND Limited (YOKO) – YOOSHIN Engineering Corporation (Korea).
Cao Lanh bridge over Tien river has a length of 2.01 km and the link between Cao Lanh bridge and Vam Cong bridge is 21.45 km long passing through Cao Lanh district, Cao Lanh city and Lap Vo district of Dong Thap province.
Cao Lanh Bridge is located about 0.8 km downstream from Cao Lanh Ferry and 35 km upstream from My Thuan Bridge. It is designed with two-wire cable-stayed bridge span: main span 350 m; boat height 37.5 m; H tower is 123.4 m high; The 24.5 m wide cross section consists of four motorized lanes and two rudimentary lanes. The bridge linking Cao Lanh bridge – Vam Cong bridge is designed with a cross-sectional dimension of 20.6 m including four motor lanes and two simple lanes, designed at 80 km / h.
