‘Do Mot Permit To Build More Building In Son Tra’

On the morning of July 15th, Da Nang Tourism Association and the Institute of Ecology in Southern Vietnam jointly held a workshop on conservation and sustainable development of natural ecosystems in Son Tra Peninsula.

The workshop attracted 180 delegates, scientists from all over the country and Da Nang City to attend.

At the seminar, Mr. Ho Ky Minh (Vice Chairman of Danang People’s Committee) affirmed that the sustainable development of Son Tra National Park is in line with the overall strategy and planning for tourism development in Vietnam as well. The master plan for the South Central Coast.

“In the first months of 2017, the number of tourists to Da Nang, especially Son Tra peninsula. Therefore, Son Tra Peninsula has many advantages to developing tourism “- said Mr. Ho Ky Minh.

Mr. Ho Ky Minh (Vice Chairman of Danang People’s Committee) spoke at the seminar.

At present, Da Nang is conducting a comprehensive review of the Son Tra peninsula in a spirit of urbanization and openness to complete three types of planning: general planning, tourism planning and forest conservation planning.

Representing his views, National Assembly deputy Truong Trong Nghia said Son Tra peninsula is not only to look, not only to pass but also to serve both economic purposes, but serve for the purpose Economy with the requirement is to preserve. It is not necessary to build more and change the way of tourism development with Son Tra Peninsula. According to Mr. Nghia, the Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee of Da Nang City should have the direct and extremely important responsibility in preserving Son Tra, but the responsibility and action are within the framework of the law. Son Tra is a precious national treasure and not for a few generations, but for hundreds, thousands of years, as it has been for thousands of years. In that spirit, Da Nang’s leaders have direct responsibility for Son Tra.

“Danang people have the right to exploit the Son Tra Peninsula. This is called sustainable development. If it can do that, according to Mr. Truong Trong Nghia, it will increase the love of people with that business.
