Dredging Lake’s Investor  In Thu Thiem Is CII Company

CII will invest in the dredging project, digging lakes and new canals in Thu Thiem new urban area instead of Thu Thiem Project Management.

On December 27th, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City accepted the proposal of the Investment Management Board of Thu Thiem New Urban Area, handed over to Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Company – CII Company as the investor of the project of dredging canals, digging central lakes and new canals in Thu Thiem New Urban Area from Thu Thiem Project Management Unit.

The works that CII will invest in are the 5, 9, 12 and N4 bridges, dredging works, digging central lakes and new canals into the project to build the technical infrastructure of the zone Northern residents in Functional Area 3, 4.

CII also invested in completing the north-south backbone, from the foot of Thu Thiem 1 to Mai Chi Tho in Thu Thiem New Urban Area under BT contract.

CII will be responsible for finalizing the feasibility study report for the project of constructing the technical infrastructure of the residential area in the north and completing the North-South backbone in Thu Thiem New Urban Area in the form of public partners.

Thu Thiem New Urban Area is located on the East bank of the Saigon River facing District 1, with a total area of 657ha. According to the 1/2000 master plan, the center of Thu Thiem New Urban Area is located in An Khanh, Thu Thiem, An Loi Dong and a part of Binh An and Binh Khanh wards.

The central area is divided into five main areas, including the Central Core, the Northern Residential Area, the Residential Area along Mai Chi Tho Boulevard, the Eastern Residential Area, and the Southern Delta.

Functional Area 1 is located in the northern half of the Central Core, which is a high density multi-functional commercial center. The tallest towers are located along the edge of the Boulevard and Central Square, gradually reducing the height towards the Saigon River and the Central Lake.

Functional Area 2 is located to the south of the Central Core, is a high-density complex with commercial functions, multi-purpose residential and recreational sports.
