In the overall urban development strategy, Ho Chi Minh City is determined to develop in all directions of East, West, South and North. Recently, HCMC has spent more than VND10 trillion to expand Nguyen Thi Dinh, Nguyen Duy Trinh, Dong Van Cong (District 2). At the same time, in the 2017-2018, the city will invest more than VND13,115 billion to implement important transport projects in the Ring Road 2, 69 km (from Phu Huu Bridge to Hanoi Highway, intersection Binh Thai to Pham Van Dong road to connect the whole area of the East – Go Dau bridge (National Highway 1, Thu Duc district), Binh Phuoc bridge to Rach Chiec bridge (District 9) and Phu My bridge – District 2 to District 7).
