Eco Smart City Thu Thiem was built in the direction of intelligent green city. Initial planning of the project has been announced. However, according to recent information, there have been some adjustments in the details as well as the overall project. So what are the specifics of those changes?

  • The location of the project is located in functional area 2a of Thu Thiem new urban area, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.
  • The scale of 10 ha.
  • The area of the project is about 7.5 hectares, in which land development projects are about 5,012 hectares.
  • The investor is Lotte Group (Korea) with 4 subsidiaries and some partners from Japan.
  • The total investment capital is around VND20,100 billion.

According to the planning map of Thu Thiem new urban area divided into 8 functional areas, the project belongs to zone 2a. Facing the riverbank project is the financial and banking district and walking street.

This is the central location adjacent to many agencies, administrative units as well as shopping and entertainment. From this location, it takes only 5 minutes through Thu Thiem Tunnel to reach District 1 and it only takes 3-5 minutes to reach some places such as: shopping center, service center, amusement park, entertainment, culture … within the zone

  • North: close to Thu Thiem Central Square
  • In the South: close to Mai Chi Tho Street and Thu Thiem Empire City
  • East: near the lake
  • West: close to the economic center of the South

Project Location of Eco Smart City Thu Thiem

Eco Smart City Thu Thiem will be implemented in 2 phases. Phase 1 uses about 50,000m2. This area belongs to 6 plots of land marked 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6.

On these lands will be built commercial buildings, hotels, serviced apartments, offices, apartment… The unique architecture buildings here are expected to be the highlight of the entire city.

According to this plan, the land of Thu Thiem parish is still preserved. In the area of †<†<11 towers with 10 floors – 50 floors. The highlight is the 50-storey tower. This court will have 12,500 apartments in the area ranging from 68sqm, 84sqm, 115sqm, 128sqm, 147sqm, 191sqm to 285sqm.

Along with the construction works, investors will complete the technical infrastructure outside the area. Simultaneously, complete 4 sections of road N15, N16, D8 and D10. The total area for these items is nearly 25,000sqm.

For the purpose of a smart city, the owner will build here many important small and important. Typical include: swimming pool, amusement park, commercial center, sports area, gym, .. And the indispensable is the green park, green area harmony air.

Recent changes in the planning of Thu Thiem Eco Smart City

According to the initial planning, next to the high-rise Thu Thiem Eco Smart City, the middle and lower floors comprise of two-storey and three-storey apartments with garden designs.

But investors are only officially approved for high-rise development and they have paid land taxes. The issue of interest is located in the low-rise area. This area will include the land of the Thu Thiem church. It is still unclear how this area will handle.

The land of Thu Thiem parish directly influences the master plan of the project. As originally planned, the land will be kept intact. Therefore, in the 12 plots of plot 2a, some blocks related to the church have not yet been assigned to the project.

But according to some recent disclosures, it is known that Eco-Smart City planning has changed little. Thu Thiem church will be retained as a cultural area of the project. So the low-rise area – which includes the church area will change how? How will they be arranged to fit the landscape, the general layout?

In a well-structured layout, the change, even in the smallest detail, has a lot of influence on the whole. It is therefore expected that changes in low-rise housing will change the layout of Eco-Smart City. However, specific information remains undisclosed.
