Editing The Total Planning Of 115 Projects With An Area Of Nearly 16,500Ha

So far, Ho Chi Minh City has basically covered urban construction detail plan of 1 / 2,000 scale with about 93% land area of urban areas.

 On the afternoon of November 28^th, HCM City People’s Council held a meeting to monitor the implementation of Resolution 16 on the planning, implementation and management of urban planning in the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

So far, Ho Chi Minh City has basically covered the detailed plan of urban construction with a scale of 1 / 2,000 with about 93% land area of the urban areas, including 600 projects with a total area of more than 88,000 hectares. According to the report of the HCM City People’s Committee, the results of reviewing and evaluating the implementation of detailed urban construction plans of 1 / 2,000 scale have identified some areas of unrealistic planning, time-wasting that affects the legitimate rights and interests of the people or is no longer suitable to the actual situation.

City People’s Committee has approved the policy to adjust the total planning 115 projects with a total area of 16,500 hectares, local adjustment 402 planning area, roads with a total area of 766.6 hectares.

For projects that have been allocated with land and have been approved for investment but are delayed which causing the situation to be suspended; the People’s Committee has canceled the decision on allocation, lease of land and change of land use purpose of 577 projects with an area of nearly 6,000 hectares to adjust and reduce the area of 33.84 hectares of 10 projects.

At the supervision, the delegates raised issues that voters care about, such as the problem of planning and evaluation of the plan is still inadequate, the problem of compensation and clearance is still slow. There are still many slow-deploying projects, which have not been thoroughly dealt with, causing grievances.
