Free, 100% discount for vehicles around BOT Can Tho – Phung Hiep

During the meeting on January 8, the Ministry of Transport (MOT) agreed with the plan to reduce fees at the Can Tho-Phung Hiep BOT station proposed by the Can Tho City People’s Committee.

According to a notice from the Information and Communications Department of Can Tho City, some contents related to the toll station on National Highway No Can Tho – Phung Hiep in the form of BOT (Can Tho – Phung Hiep BOT), Ministry of Transport The BOT Tho Tho – Phung Hiep BOT has agreed on a fee exemption.

Specifically, 100% discount for non-trading vehicles in Ba Lang ward (Cai Rang district, Can Tho city), Tan Phu Thanh commune, Cai Tac town (Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province); 50% discount for 10 cars or more and trucks per ton in Ba Lang ward, Tan Phu Thanh commune, Cai Tac town.

Households and enterprises that have a specific contract of transportation of more than 3 months, using a distance of less than 5 km from the station, shall enjoy the exemption and reduction policy. There are 23 vehicles without registration of main vehicle in Ba Lang precinct (Can Tho) and 126 vehicles of Hau Giang, including buses also enjoy the policy of exemptions.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat was assigned to Vietnam Road Administration until January 20 to resolve this case.

Can Tho – Phung Hiep BOT Toll Station is located in Ba Lang Ward, Cai Rang District, Can Tho City.

Previously, on December 20, 2017, BOT Can Tho – Phung Hiep BOT has also reduced the ticket price from 5,000 VND to 20,000 dong depending on the type of car. However, to 5 January 2018 BOT Can Tho – Phung Hiep station continued to be seriously congested.

According to many drivers, the reason for this is because they have moved too short, from Chau Thanh (Hau Giang) to Cai Rang (Can Tho) and vice versa for a few kilometers, but have to buy tickets for the entire route from Cai Rang to Phung Hiep District. Many drivers request BOT investors Can Tho – Phung Hiep commitment to exempt 100% fee through the station for residents within 5km radius.
