Accordingly, people’s committees of districts and districts mobilize people to participate in protecting corridors on river banks, canals, drainage systems; penalty for cases of leaving litter, waste into canals, drainage systems to obstruct the flow; it is strictly forbidden to fill canals and ditches for water drainage.

At the same time, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will continue to deploy the demarcation of riverbank, canal and riverway protection corridors, which have been announced high edge by the Department of Transport.

For operations of port, inland waterway wharves of Ho Chi Minh City, it is necessary to thoroughly inspect and handle cases of unauthorized activities; especially for inland waterway wharves within the safety corridors of bridges and the traffic protection corridors.

In addition, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City also approved the Binh Chanh District People’s Committee to select qualified consultants to conduct the survey for emergency construction of the embankment project to prevent bank erosion along the Can Giuoc river bank in Hamlet 2, Qui Duc Commune, Binh Chanh District in 2017 – 2018 to ensure the safety of life and property of the people along the river.
