HCMC Borrows VND 6,200 Billion To Build Ben Thanh – Tan Kien Metro

The metro 3a is nearly 20 km long with the total investment of over VND 6,200 billion, divided into two phases. The first stage is built in front of the Ben Thanh – Western Bus Station with a total length of 9.7 km, costing over $1.8 billion, and the second phase of constructing the Western Bus Station – Tan Kien is 10 km longer. with most of it going high with a budget of about $ 1 billion.

The project has directions: Ben Thanh – Pham Ngu Lao – Cong Hoa junction – Hung Vuong – Hong Bang – Kinh Duong Vuong – Depot Tan Kien – Tan Kien station. Metro 3a is also a long-term study link with Tan An City of Long An Province at Tan Kien Station, Binh Chanh District.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has three terrestrial or monorail trains. At present, the metro line 1 is being developed and expected to be completed in 2020.

In eight metro lines, there were three routes being capitalized at over 60 trillion dongs. Specifically, the metro route No. 1 has total investment approved in 2007 about 17,300 billion. After that, the total investment of this project was adjusted to over 47.3 trillion dongs.

The metro route 5, phase 1 is nearly 9 km long when the ODA portfolio is estimated at only 833 million euros. However, up to now, the total investment of this project is estimated at over 1.5 billion euros.
