HCMC People’s Committee has approved the investment project Le Thanh residential area in An Lac ward, Binh Tan district, according to decision 981.

This is a project of conversion from commercial housing to a social housing with a total area of 19,990.9 m2. The project of social housing for rent is in the North and East is adjacent to the land. To the south, it borders on rice fields and FUCHUN Company, MISOVINA Company. In the West is adjacent to Le Tan Bac street.

The purpose of the project is to build residential, commercial services, education quality and friendly to the environment. To ensure the synchronous connection of urban technical infrastructure with the surrounding area, contributing to the building of social housing for Ho Chi Minh City.

In the total area of 199,909sqm, land for housing construction is 12,103sq.m, greenery area of 302,5sqm, school land of 153,2sqm, public land of 110sqm, traffic land of 273,5sqm.

The estimated population is 1,480 people. Construction density of the whole district is 51.78%. The maximum floor is five floors and semi-basement. Land use coefficient 2.44 times with 19 townhouses and 930 apartments. The total floor area of the building does not include the tunnel and the roof of 7,569 sqm.

The social housing has an area of 34.7-41.6 m2. Investors rent for social housing objects with 930 apartments. There are 19 adjacent townhouses will be sold at commercial prices.

The project is invested by Le Thanh Construction Company Limited. The duration of the project is from the fourth quarter of 2016 to the fourth quarter of 2019.

Previously, at the workshop on the development of social housing and cheap commercial housing held by the HCMC Real Estate Association held in late February 2017, Director Le Thanh Company has reflected with the Secretary of Thanh HCMC People’s Committee Dinh La Thang, this project has requested permission from July 2016 but it is not resolved. Up to now, the project has been licensed.
