According to the proposal of the Department of Planning and Investment, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has assigned the consortium of Transportation Engineering Corporation No. 1, Thai Son Investment Development Joint Stock Company, Tuan Loc Investment Construction Joint Stock Company Investigate proposal of investment project to build Thu Thiem 3 bridge, expand and upgrade Ton Dan Street, District 4 in the form of public-private partnerships (BT contract).

It is known that Thu Thiem 3 Bridge is one of the key projects and is considered as a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City in the future. The location of Thu Thiem Bridge 3 starts from Ton Dan Street (District 4), passing Nguyen Tat Thanh, Nha Rong – Khanh Hoi (Saigon Port) and port, crossing the Saigon River to connect with the new Thu Thiem urban area. (District 2)
According to the plan from now to 2020, HCM City will build 4 more bridges spanning Thu Thiem New Urban Area. In particular, Thu Thiem 1 bridge has been completed and put into use along with underground tunnels across the Saigon River and new roads passing through this urban area.
Thu Thiem 2 Bridge is under construction with the total investment of nearly VND 3,100 billion. The remaining bridges are Thu Thiem 3 and 4. A pedestrian bridge from District 1 to Thu Thiem is in the process of setting up an investment project.
Adjustment of planning for Thu Thiem New Urban Area 2C
The People’s Committee has just announced the decision to adjust the local zoning plan for the area of 1/2000 scale 2C in Thu Thiem New Urban Area, District 2 with the total area of approximately 31.49 ha.

Land for sports facilities (previously approved planning function is the multi-purpose house) remains the area of 26,065 sqm;
Commercial land (previously approved planning function as commercial area) increased from 13,582 sqm to 16,059 sqm;
Land for public parks increased from 10,596 sqm to 10,767 sqm;
The three types of land with a total area of 165,290sqm include: Multi-purpose commercial land (planning function previously approved as mixed trade area) 25,820 sqm, sports facilities (functional planning previously approved Is the stadium) 69,006 sqm and Land sports park 70,464 sqm merged together and reduced to 147,582 sqm.
Parkland, public use trees increased from 21,225 sqm to 24,688 sqm;
Urban traffic increased from 74,918 sqm to 86,516 sqm
Administrative land (ward headquarters) kept the area of 3,320 sqm.
It is known that Vingroup Group is an investor selected by the city government to implement the complex of sports and entertainment complex in the functional zone 2C part of the functional area No 2 in Thu Thiem new urban area.
It is estimated that the total cost of implementing the project (excluding compensation and ground clearance costs) is VND 6,777 billion, which will be financed by the investor.
Mining time of this project is 50 years, construction time is 36 months.
HCM City is about to invest VND 500 billion to construct the bridge N
Recently, HCM City Department of Transportation said that the construction of the overpass at the Nguyen Kiem – Nguyen Thai Son intersection in Go Vap will be commenced in February 2017.

Accordingly, this overpass is made of steel in the shape of N, consisting of a 367.7 m long Nguyen Kiem – Nguyen Thai Son overpass, a 367.7 m long overpass at Nguyen Kiem – Hoang Minh Grotto and an overpass. From Hoang Minh Giam – Nguyen Thai Son 362.8 m long.

The other two projects are the expansion of Hoang Hoa Tham street from the military barracks gate adjacent to the airport to Cong Hoa street, Tan Binh district with a total investment of VND 255 billion. The renovation of Cong Hoa Street from Tran Quoc Hoan Street No. 2 to Thang Long Street in Tan Binh District has the total investment of nearly VND 143 billion.
