These are two traffic projects to relieve the pressure of traffic jams for the gateway area and around Tan Son Nhat airport.
Accordingly, the overpass project at the intersection of Truong Son – Tan Son Nhat – Binh Loi – Ring Road with a total investment of VND242 billion, was built in Tan Binh district with a one-way overpass The Y consists of two branches. One branch from Truong Son road to an international station is 303.8m long. Branch two from the intersection with a branch turns into the domestic station 153.8m long.
In addition, the project will also renovate Truong Son Road, national road, international railway station, lighting system, green tree.
The steel bridge overpass at Nguyen Thai Son – Nguyen Kiem intersection in Go Vap district has a total investment of 504 billion dongs, will build a bridge over N, including 3 branches.
Specifically, one branch from Nguyen Kiem Street to Hoang Minh Grotta is 367.7m long. Branch 2 from Hoang Minh Giam Road to Nguyen Thai Son Road is 362.82m long. Branch 3 along Nguyen Kiem Street to Nguyen Thai Son Street.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City also extended the project of Hoang Minh Giam, Cong Hoa, Hoang Hoa Tham and Phan Thuc Duyen to reduce congestion for Tan Son Nhat Airport.
According to statistics of Ho Chi Minh City, there are more than 30,000 car trips to Tan Son Nhat airport every day. Of which there are 22,000 cars and about 7,000 motorcycles, not including the number of vehicles of more than 10,000 employees working at Tan Son Nhat airport.
