The city has approved the project of the bicycle racing platform and the motorbike raceway combined with the outdoor soccer field and the project of Thai Son Nam Sports Center.

The HCMC People’s Committee has approved a list of land use projects for the project of a bicycle raceway and a motorbike raceway with an outdoor football field and the Thai Son Nam Sports Center Project in the Rach Chiec National Sports Center, An Phu Ward, District 2.

Specifically, the project of cycling bicycle racing track and motorbike racing field combined with an outdoor football field covering an area of about 99,920 sqm; forming an indoor cycling racecourse, an outdoor racecourse incorporating an international standard stadium to serve the needs of athletes as well as athletic movements.

The project of the Sports Center of Thai Son South covers an area of 114,500 sqm; Formation of fencing, futsal and other softball fields to serve the needs of competition and training of professional athletes as well as sports movements.

Currently, these two lands have not been compensated, cleared and relocated. Estimated cost of compensation, site clearance and resettlement assistance is about $50 million
