Tran Manh Ha said: “The direction of the house is a straight line from the center of the house to the front of its main door.” However, the more rectangular the shape is, the easier it is to determine the center of the house, so you should ask the help of a feng shui expert.

In addition, for homeowners who own the apartment, the determination of the house’s direction is not enough. It is best for the homeowner to measure the direction of the whole building by the compass. However, many people mistakenly believe that the measurement of the compass must be done within or adjacent to the outside wall of the building.

“Measuring the compass direction of the building should be at a distance of 5 to 15 meters from the wall because the homeowner should take into account the underground space below the building,” the expert said. “In fact, I’ve tested it many times when measuring the compass direction while standing inside a building or near a wall, resulting in deviations of up to 10, 15, even 20 degrees.”

Thus, the direction of the house will be found by connecting the perpendicular from the center of the house to the façade containing the door of the house, different from the direction of the door. To measure the direction of the apartment building by the compass must stand 5 to 10 meters away from the building walls to ensure the accuracy of the measurement.
