Hung Thinh wants to build tunnels in the gateway Tan Son Nhat

The tunnel has two lanes, nearly 1 km long with a total cost of about VND370 billion to improve the traffic jams at the gateway Tan Son Nhat airport.

On October 24, representatives of Hung Thinh Investment Real Estate Trading Joint Stock Company confirmed that Hung Thinh has proposed a tunnel construction project at the Hoang Van Thu – Nguyen Van Troi intersection in Tan Binh district to improve the situation. Accordingly, underground tunnel width of two lanes at the intersection of Phan Dinh Giot – Nguyen Van Troi. The length of the underground tunnel is 785 m, including 485 m underground and 300 m underground tunnel.

This tunnel allows all traffic from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Ho Chi Minh City center one direction in the direction of: Truong Son tunnel at the intersection Hoang Van Thu – Nguyen Van Troi center of Ho Chi Minh City.

Hoang Van Thu – Nguyen Van Troi junction will be underground if Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee agrees with Hung Thinh Company’s proposal.

Construction cost is estimated at VND 370 billion. The official value will be determined after the investment project is submitted to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for approval.

Hung Thinh also proposed to extend Tran Quoc Hoan Street in the direction of removing the existing divider to restore the road surface. This will help increase Tran Quoc Hoan Street, increasing the ability of traffic of this route.

“This investment is to tackle traffic congestion, highlighting foreign visitors. Ho Chi Minh City does not have to pay cash for Hung Thinh but can pay for land, “Hung Thinh representative said.

Speaking to reporters, Le Hoang Chau, chairman of the HCM City Real Estate Association, said the association supported the proposal of Hung Thinh Company, helping to reorganize traffic and reduce traffic jams at the gateway Tan Son Nhat airport

“This is in line with the policy of socialization to implement the” urban embellishment and development program “of HCM City,” Chau said.
