Project Management Unit 85 (PMU 85) has just submitted to the Ministry of Transport and Communications approving the pre-feasibility study report of the project on construction of Cam Lam – Vinh Hao section under the PPP scheme under the project of building a The number of high-speed sections on the north-south east route in 2017-2020.

As proposed by PMU 85, this expressway has a starting point at Km29, coinciding with the end point of Nha Trang – Cam Lam (Cam Hiep Bac Commune, Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province); The last point at Km134, coincides with the beginning point of Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet (Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province).

The route is 104 km long, passing through Cam Lam district, Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa province); The districts of Thuan Bac, Ninh Son, Thuan Nam, Bac Ai, Ninh Phuoc (Ninh Thuan province) and Tuy Phong district (Binh Thuan province).

The project is proposed to be built on a six-lane road with a length of 32.25 m. In the first phase, there are 4 lanes of limited traffic, 17 m wide, including 19 bridges with a total length of 2,781 m, 2 tunnels (720 m long) and Mount Vung (2,195 m long).

Total estimated investment is VND18,463 billion, of which state budget support is VND10,579 billion (55.56%). BOT’s investment capital was VND8,462 billion, of which equity accounted for 20% (VND1,692 billion); Commercial loans 80% (VND 6,770 billion). Investors are entitled to a return of capital at a starting price of VND1,500 / PCU / ​​km.

The project is expected to select investors, sign contracts and start construction in the period from quarter IV / 2018 to quarter II / 2020.
