On May 30, Department of Transportation Ho Chi Minh City organized a carriage through Diamond Island (District 2) after more than 8 months of construction.

The bridge is nearly 300m long, nearly 22m wide with 4 lanes, located in the section through Giong Ong To River. The starting point of the bridge connecting the riverside Sai Gon in the residential area of ​​30 ha Binh Khanh ward, the last point connecting riverside road in Thanh My Loi.

The project connecting axis of Mai Chi Tho and Thanh My Loi residential area (district 2), reducing the pressure for Dong Van Cong to lead into Cat Lai urban area. The traffic from Thanh My Loi to Mai Chi Tho street and the city center will be more convenient.

This is also an item to help complete the route along the Saigon River connecting Mai Chi Tho to Phu My bridge as planned.

Along with the bridge, the project also embankment along the Saigon river, along the river along Sai Gon riverside and existing lighting system, green trees … The project has a total investment of nearly VND 500 billion from the capital city budget combined with the contribution of enterprises benefiting from the project.

According to the Department of Transportation Ho Chi Minh City, immediately after the bridge, traffic in this area is divided as follows:

Transportation route from Cat Lai ferry to Sai Gon river ferry: Cat Lai ferry – Nguyen Thi Dinh – Dong Van Cong – Phan Van Dang – Truong Van Bang – Bat Nan – Kim Cuong island – D1 – Mai Chi Tho – Song tunnel Saigon.

From Saigon river tunnel to Cat Lai ferry: Sai Gon – Mai Chi Tho ferry – D1 – Kim Cuong island – Bat Nan – Truong Van Bang – Phan Van Dang – Dong Van Cong – Nguyen Thi Dinh – Cat Lai ferry Or, Sai Gon River – Mai Chi Tho – D1 – Kim Cuong – Bat Nan – Dong Van Cong – Nguyen Thi Dinh – Cat Lai.
