Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, IPP, has just had a working session with the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province to present the investment plan in the Northern Van Phong Special Zone.
At the meeting, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, Chairman of IPP, expressed his desire to invest in Northern Van Phong. The objective is to build this place into an ASEAN trade and tourism center with a complex of complex projects bringing a high economic value chain.
Accordingly, IPP pledges to invest about $ 50 billion to build the Van Phong special zone with the following items: tourist areas, smart cities, residential and industrial areas, airports and roads, port area.
At the same time, IPP will build hi-tech residential areas (combining hi-tech and high-end residential areas). This complex will also have a modern educational, health and social infrastructure.
Representatives of KPMG Korea (IPP) also expressed their wish to invest and build the Van Phong special zone with complex projects such as casino, gold stadium, tourism complex, Schedule with the largest ships in the world.
Infrastructure such as energy, telecommunications, transportation, water supply, etc. will be invested with US $ 3-10 billion; the airport is about $ 5 billion; deep sea port with shipping services, road, logistics about $5 billion; Port services will cost about $ 3 billion.
In the investment process, investors will be divided into 3 phases. Phase 1, provides an overall investment plan submitted to the authorities for approval; plan to attract investors.
Phase 2, the establishment of mechanisms to attract investors, then select the appropriate investors and connect with the international investor community.

In addition, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen also asked for financial support to rent land protection in Van Phong, avoid the encroachment of public land, illegal transfer.
In a recent development, Johnathan Hanh Nguyen’s company also proposed to invest in building duty-free shops and supermarkets; building fashion outlet outlet; building a commercial area and walking street food in the non-tariff area in Van Don (Quang Ninh).
Prior to that, the IPP also proposed that the Ministry of Transport allow VND2,000 billion to build another runway at Phu Quoc Airport (Kien Giang).
In addition, IPP also wishes to cooperate with ACV to invest in the construction of international passenger terminal T2 with a total investment of up to VND 7,000 billion. It is expected to have a capacity of 10 million passengers per year in Phu Quoc.
