Long Thanh airport: Dong Nai adjusted the administrative boundaries of 6 communes

On September 26, the People’s Council of Dong Nai province held a meeting to pass resolutions on adjusting the administrative boundaries of 6 communes.

Accordingly, 6 communes including Binh Son, Suoi Trau, Cam Duong, Long An, Long Phuoc and Bau Can of Long Thanh district will be adjusted to meet the project of building Long Thanh International Airport.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Dong Nai province emphasized that the Long Thanh International Airport project is a national important project in the area, thus requiring the whole political system to be consistent. deeply and seriously within the scope of their responsibility according to the guidance of the Central Government.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong also required to ensure the social security, stabilize the life and production of people affected by the project in the process of land recovery, ground clearance.

In addition, at this meeting, Dong Nai People’s Council also passed resolutions on the establishment of wards on the basis of maintaining the current area and population of Hoa An, Hiep Hoa, An Hoa, Phuoc Tan, Tam Phuoc and Tan Hanh (in Bien Hoa city); Nhon Trach district will establish Hiep Phuoc town on the basis of Hiep Phuoc commune; Thong Nhat district will establish Dau Giay township and adjust administrative boundaries of Hung Loc, Bau Ham 2, Xuan Thanh and Quang Trung communes. Long Khanh town will become Long Khanh city.

It is known that Long Thanh international airport project will start ground clearance in 2018 and finish this phase by 2020.

Specifically, the total land acquisition of the project is nearly 5,400 hectares, of which the priority area clearance of 1,165 hectares of the first phase of the project. Total number of households with land acquisition is 4,864 households with more than 15,500 people and 26 organizations using land.

Total investment for land acquisition, compensation, support, resettlement is VND 23,000 billion. Of which, resettlement area of ​​over VND 4,000 billion, reconstruction of infrastructure outside the port of VND 480 billion, compensation for support and resettlement of nearly VND 18,000 billion, vocational training jobs is VND388 billion…
