Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen wants to invest in non-tariff area in Van Don Economic Zone

IPP of Johnathan Hanh Nguyen had a working session with Quang Ninh People’s Committee on studying investment in non-tariff area in Van Don economic zone.

Accordingly, Johnathan Hanh Nguyen’s company has proposed to invest in building duty-free shops and supermarkets; building fashion outlet outlet; Construction of commercial areas and street food in the non-tariff zone in Van Don.

At the meeting, the Quang Ninh People’s Committee said that the province basically agreed with the proposals of the IPP. However, the PPC requested the IPP and the Sun Group jointly study to plan suitable site selection.

At the same time, to accelerate the coordination and cooperation, bringing into full play the strengths of the two sides, soon establishing a non-tariff zone with many preferential policies.

In a recent development, IPP has also proposed that the Ministry of Transportation allow investment of VND2,000 billion to construct an additional runway at Phu Quoc Airport (Kien Giang).

In addition, IPP also wishes to cooperate with ACV to invest in the construction of international passenger terminal T2 with a total investment of up to 7,000 billion VND. It is expected to have a capacity of 10 million passengers per year in Phu Quoc.

IPP is now a major shareholder, strategic investor of Tan Son Nhat Airport Services Joint Stock Company (Sasco) and also the largest shareholder of Cam Ranh International Passenger Terminal invested with a capacity of 8 million passengers / year, total investment of VND3.735 billion, expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of this year.

IPP has been cooperating and operating at major domestic airports such as Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh … and it is a strategic partner with two big companies in the world, DFS ( USA and Lotte Duty Free (Korea).
