Nam Thang Long – Tran Hung Dao metro project will be held to bidding

The Prime Minister has just commented on the report to the National Assembly approving the policy to adjust the investment project to build the urban railway of Hanoi, line 2, South Thang Long – Tran Hung Dao (Metro Nam Thang Long – Tran Hung Dao).

The project to build the urban railway of Hanoi, line 2, Nam Thang Long – Tran Hung Dao section was approved by Hanoi City in 2008. Up to now, Japanese ODA loan has completed the preliminary selection of contractor, each package has 4 participating contractors.

At present, Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board is working closely with JICA to prepare bidding documents and organize bidding to shorten project implementation time.

Nam Thang Long – Tran Hung Dao metro project will be held to bidding

To accelerate the project, Hanoi has proposed to the Prime Minister to consider and report to the National Assembly adopted the policy of adjusting the project at the meeting in May 2018.

After considering the proposal of the People’s Committee of Hanoi and the opinions of some relevant ministries, the Prime Minister has assigned the People’s Committee of Hanoi to expeditiously complete the contents of the above feasibility study report to the Ministry. Planning and Investment and is responsible for the accuracy of the information and data provided.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment shall assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Ministry of Communications and Transport and concerned agencies in working out the Government’s report to the National Assembly on the implementation of the project. That is the issue of criteria of national important projects. Report to the Prime Minister.

On the basis of the draft report of the Government prepared by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Government Office shall hold a standing meeting of the Government for consideration and approval and submit it to the National Assembly before April 25, 2018.
