A number of un-accepted hotels still operate

On 1 March, Construction Department of Da Nang City has announced the list of hotels mentioned above violations.

According to Decree 46/2015 on quality management and maintenance of construction works, separate housing works of seven or more floors and other works must be inspected by the specialized construction agency The investor’s acceptance test before the acceptance and completion of the works put into use.

However, through inspection and review phase 1, Construction Department discovered 14 hotel projects have been completed and put into use but have not been checked by the specialized construction agency.

Specifically, the hotel listed breaches include: Diamond Sea Hotel – Vo Nguyen Giap road (Son Tra district); Sea Front Hotel – Vo Nguyen Giap road (Son Tra district); Le Hoang Beach Hotel – Vo Nguyen Giap Road (Son Tra district); Truong Son Tung hotel 2 – Ha Bong street (Son Tra district); Nirvana Hotel – Ha Bong Street (Son Tra district); Valentine Hotel – Ha Bong street (Son Tra district); North West Hotel – Ha Bong street (Son Tra district); Tuan Phong Hotel – Ha Bong Street (Son Tra district); Nam Quan Hotel – Ha Bong Street (Son Tra district); Sea Casle 2 Hotel – Ha Bong Street (Son Tra district); Tuong Vi Hotel – Ha Bong street (Son Tra district); Dam Linh hotel – Ha Bong street (Son Tra district); Nice Sea Hotel – Ha Bong street (Son Tra district) and Anh Duong 2 hotel – Ha Bong street (Son Tra district).

In the coming time, Construction Department will continue to inspect and instruct the investors and managers to use the works to carry out the procedures for checking the take-over work according to regulations.

At the same time, Construction Department will coordinate with the City Police, Department of Tourism, Natural Resources and Environment Department  and related units to strictly handle the violations.

Exchanging with Ho Chi Minh City Law, Le Van Tuan, Chief Inspector of Da Nang Construction Department, said that the Department has sent a letter advising the City People’s Committee to issue a decision on sanctions on the hotel. “We will invite hotel owners to work, depending on the extent of specific violations will punish these hotels,” – said Tuan.
