Oil is lumped to pour in Ben Tre beach

Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ben Tre province is planning to collect and process lumps on the beach due to chemical incidents drifted to the coast in the province of Ben Tre in early May.

Accordingly, from now to June 2018, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment assigned the provincial Sub-Department of Environmental Protection to co-ordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ba Tri, Binh Dai districts and related units to mobilize forces to quickly collect gathering, processing landslide drift to the beach, protecting and limiting the impact on the environment. Concurrently, contracts with functional branches for processing lumps of oil shall be collected in the form of hazardous waste treatment according to regulations.

Earlier, on May 5, the team of Cua Dai border station discovered many solid, black objects, sizes ranging from 10 cm to 20 cm, smells like diesel (DO) drifted on the beach Chay Muoi Chay Muoi, belongs to Thoi Thuan commune, Binh Dai district. According to the Ben Tre Border Guard Command, through the situation in the area, there are no organizations or individuals reflecting on the environmental impact of this incident.
