Open officially the bridge over My Thuy intersection of District 2

After over 1.5 years of construction, the bridge crossing My Thuy (District 2) was officially opened on June 29, helping to reduce the traffic jam at the gateway to Tan Cang – Cat port.

Design of 4 lanes, 316m long, total investment of VND203 billion

My Thuy intersection bridge is designed with 4 lanes with the length of 316m, the investment cost is VND 203 billion. The project has been under construction since November 2016.

It is known that this overpass belongs to the investment project My Thuy intersection (District 2, Ho Chi Minh City), along with the construction of underground tunnel was completed and put into use in January 2018. The overpass of the intersection of the My Thuy intersection now forms a three-tiered intersection, which is expected to reduce traffic congestion for major roads leading to Cat Lai.

Therefore, this intersection is under great pressure and often subject to congestion. As a result, the operation of underground tunnels and overpasses is expected to reduce traffic congestion and accidents.

Also according to Zone 2, the second phase of the My Thuy intersection project has many other projects such as the construction of Ky Ha 3 Bridge on the right (from Phu My Bridge to District 9), Ky Ha 4 Bridge on the right turn from Phu My to Cat Lai), construction of My Thuy 3 bridge at the interval between My Thuy 1 and My Thuy 2 bridges.

Currently, the Department of Transport is making investment procedures for the second phase of My Thuy intersection to basically solve traffic jams in this area.

The construction of the intersection of My Thuy has not only completed the East Belt Road, but also met the needs of transportation from Cat Lai Port and Phu Huu Port to improve traffic in the area.

The reason for the construction of the My Thuy intersection is to help the real estate market of District 2 in general and the Cat Lai area hotter because it is the most important project in Cat Lai, special investment mind.
