With more than 3,000 hours of sunshine each year, Mui Ne – Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan) has long been considered by visitors as one of the most valuable and richest destinations in marine tourism. At the same time, according to the approved planning, Binh Thuan Province will become a large-scale marine tourism center by 2020. Along with that, Phan Thiet city with the nucleus of “Mui Ne resort capital” will officially become a tourist city of international stature.
This policy was also affirmed once again by the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the investment promotion conference in Binh Thuan province, which was held in late April. Accordingly, the Prime Minister made a statement on the central policy of building in Binh Thuan into a clean energy center; an international and regional center for sea tourism and a post-Titanic processing center where few other places have such a strong focus as Binh Thuan.
It can be seen that this is an opportunity but also a big challenge for investors when choosing real estate investment in Phan Thiet. However, with the bright spots that this place possesses, there is no reason why you have to hesitate.
Particularly for the development of tourism, according to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, the tourism industry in this province has developed considerably over the past three years. It attracts a large number of international tourists as well as domestic tourists to visit and relax here.
On average, the number of tourists to this place increased from 12 to 14%, turnover increased from 19 to 20%. More specifically, in 2016, there are more than 4.5 million arrivals, up 8.8% over 2015, of which 503,800 are international visitors, revenue reached 398.024000 million USD (reaching 100, 5%), an increase of 18.4% over 2015.
And in 2017, Binh Thuan targets to receive more than 5 million visitors (about 12% of international visitors), maintaining a growth rate of 10% of total arrivals, a 20% increase in revenue from tourism. In the first quarter of 2017 alone, tourism in Binh Thuan province received over 1.2 million tourists (an increase of 9.81% over the same period in 2016), of which international visitors accounted for 156.843 visitors (up 19.92% over the same period of 2016).
“Binh Thuan province’s tourist industry strives to attract 7 million visitors per year, of which 850,000 are international tourists, the average growth rate of domestic tourists is 10-12% per year, international tourists are from 12 – 14% per year, contributing 10% of the province’s GRDP” – these are the goals set for the provincial tourism sector.
All the statistics detailed above are a strong motivation for the development of the resort real estate segment. With the desire to attract more and more visitors and bring visitors the most relaxing holidays, investors have constantly launched large and small projects, bringing the city a completely different appearance.
According to one of the leaders of the provincial Tourism Administration, when the traffic from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet and the lane from Phan Thiet to Nha Trang is completely connected by expressway and more especially when Phan Thiet Airport is officially put into operation, Phan Thiet will be the most convenient and attractive destination and also the place with the strongest growth of Vietnam’s tourism industry.
In fact, even though a province develops later than other tourism centers such as Da Nang, Nha Trang or Vung Tau, Mui Ne – Phan Thiet has quickly affirmed its strong position on the map of Vietnam tourism with hundreds of standard resorts from 1 to 4 stars and a lot of other big resort projects. This is indeed a rare investment opportunity for real estate investors.
