Prime Minister agreed to establish Bamboo Airways

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has decided to approve the policy of investing in Bamboo Airways at Phu Cat airport (Phu Cat, Binh Dinh).

According to this decision, by 2023, Bamboo Airways will have 10 A320 / A321 or B737 aircraft. With total investment capital of VND 700 billion. The duration of the project is 50 years. The progress of the investment project is from 2019  to 2023.

The decision also assigned Ministry of Transport to appraise and issue air transportation business license in accordance with the law. People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province is responsible for the information and data reported in the project file, the contents of the explanation, the acceptance and the contents evaluated in accordance with the law.

Prime Minister’s decision also stated that the goal of Bamboo Airways project is to become one of the leading airlines in Vietnam. At the same time, it is the number one choice for customers as well as owners thanks to the prestige and ability to provide means and services of air transportation; To build this unit into a professional organization, to create stable jobs, professional working environment and high income for the company’s employees.

Prior to this, Mr. Dang Tat Thang, FLC Group Vice President and General Manager of Bamboo Airways, said that Bamboo Airways will take advantage of its own development of air travel, which is based on ecological of FLC.

Thang said in the fourth quarter of 2018, the unit will put 10 aircraft into operation and each year will increase from 10-20 aircraft depending on the demand for air growth.
