Progress of the Metro 1 project (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien)
At the end of February, the Ministry of Transport (GVTV) had a meeting on appraisal of HCM City’s urban railway line No.1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) and Line 2 (Ben Thanh). – Tham Luong).
According to the Planning and Investment Department of the Ministry of Transport and the HCM City Railway Project Management Unit, progress of Metro 1 project (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) has reached over 50% of volume and disbursement accounting for over 30% of capital.
It is known that the project of Metro 1 railway with total investment capital of over VND47,000 billion, was started construction in 2012 with a total length of nearly 20 km, which will be 2.6 km underground. New Eastern Bus Station is located in Long Binh ward (District 9, Ho Chi Minh City) and part of Binh Thang ward (Di An town, Binh Duong province). The new eastern bus station is adjacent to the existing residential area in the North East, adjacent to the 13th Street to the South West, the new residential area to the South East and the North West to the Hanoi Highway.

Newly built East Bus Station consists of four zones A, B, C, D; In particular, Zone A is land for yards, public works and auxiliary works, with the tallest building of 26 floors with an area of over 122,000 sqm (accounting for over 76% of the total area).
Zone B is a bus station (two floors high); Area C is a warehouse and goods trading (5 floors high); and zone D is a commercial area (15 floors high). The total investment capital of the project is VND 4,000 billion. When it comes into operation, the new East Bus Station will serve more than 7 million visitors to the Eastern, Central and Northern provinces.
According to the plan, the new East Bus Station has to complete phase 1 at the end of 2018 but the project does not guarantee progress due to problems of land clearance. The new bus station is expected to be completed this year.
The progress of My Thuy intersection project
The construction of the intersection of My Thuy intersection is divided into two phases. In particular, the first phase includes the Ky Ha 3 bridge, the overpass on Ring Road 2, the underground tunnel going from the Ring Road 2 to Cat Lai and the left and right bank of My Thuy. Phase 1 has a total investment of VND838 billion from the budget of the city. Phase 2 will be implemented from 2018 to 2020, including a 316 meter long 4-lane overpass with 4 lanes; The 7-meter-long left turn from Cat Lai to Phu My bridge with 2 lanes; My Thuy 3 bridge is 124 meters 6 lanes; Ky Ha 4 bridge on the right turn from Phu My bridge to Cat Lai, 75 meters long with 4 lanes.
The latest progress shows that the tunnel section of the first phase of the My Thuy intersection was completed and officially opened in January. Meanwhile, other items are speeding up construction and ensuring the progress.
The construction of the intersection of My Thuy has not only completed the East Beltway, but also met the needs of transportation from Cat Lai Port and Phu Huu Port to improve traffic in the area.
The reason for the construction of the My Thuy intersection is to help the real estate market of District 2 in general and the Cat Lai area hotter because it is the most important project in Cat Lai, special investment mind. Of these, 8 lanes are on the main road and 8 lanes on both sides of the road. However, this project plan is slowing down.
At present, some sections from Sai Gon bridge to the intersection of the 2nd station (Thu Duc district) have been completed. In the Suoi Tien area to Thu Duc University, two underground tunnels are also built. The remainder will be expanded, expected completion of the project to expand the Hanoi Highway will help the eastern traffic gate of the city more airy and convenient.
Progress of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital Project 2
According to the plan, the Ho Chi Minh City Second Stage Hospital was built on 5.56 hectares of land with a total investment capital of over VND5,800 billion. The scale of the hospital is 9 floors and a floor with a cellar with 1,000 beds.
At present, the second hospital in Ho Chi Minh City has been roofed and completed most of the workload, expected to be operational this year.
