Proposing to prohibit participation in bidding with the compensation unit delay

The People’s Committee of District 6 (Ho Chi Minh City) has just sent an official letter to the press, information on compensation settlement, support affected households due to the construction of urban upgrading project component 4 ( canal and canal along Tan Hoa – Lo Gom canals in the district.

Accordingly, the District proposes a solution for the Investor – Investment Management Board to build urban upgrading works (the committees) to sanction the construction unit deliberately extended the payment time indemnify. One is to block the payment account of the package, which is not paid to the construction unit for the construction unit affect settlement and cracking the house, and at the same time use these payments to the households have agreed unanimously indemnify. The second is to petition the City Council to name these units on the list of banned projects, works in the city.

Up to now, a total of 608 houses have been affected by the project. Of which, 11 houses collapsed, 94 were in danger of collapse. Executors only compensated for more than 300 cases, the remaining households are continuing to hold consultations.

The reason is that the authorities concluded that the construction of the house, deep excavation is located about 6 meters, the area has weak ground and partly because of a semi-solid structure.

In order to ensure the safety of the subsistence and cracked households, the district directs the wards to relocate people to other places and ask the investor and the construction unit to pay monthly rent until compensated.
