The People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province has made a conclusion on Sonasea Dragon Bay resort project (Ha Long and Van Don communes) to accelerate the progress of this important project.

Earlier, the provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with Van Don Investment and Development Corporation (CEO Group) to present the idea of ​​planning the Son Bay Dragon Bay tourism complex in Van Don district.

According to the idea of ​​the investor, the SonaSea Dragon Bay tourism complex is planned on a total area of ​​94ha in Ha Long commune, Van Don district with a total investment of about VND5,000 billion.

The project consists of five functional subdivisions with ecological tourism and resorts, such as a 5,000-room hotel complex, a water park, a shopping center, a pier and a public beach.

In line with the idea of ​​planning, representatives of leaders of the CEO Group together with the design unit Nihon Sekkei (Japan) also asked the provincial People’s Committee to consider and agree to the policy of opening the connection road. project with provincial road 334; Assigning the project owner to manage and exploit tourism in adjacent islands in the sea to serve tourism development and exploitation.

According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thanh, this is an important project, supporting the synchronous development of Van Don in the first phase when Quang Ninh airport is in operation. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on directing and supporting more actively for investors to speed up the implementation of the project.

Specifically, Mr. Thanh entrusted the Management Board of the economic zone to collect ideas and coordinate with the concerned agencies to carefully study the contents of the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee in Notice No. 703 TB / TU dated October 9 2017, as a basis to guide, urge, support investors to accelerate the implementation of the project.

In addition, the Van Don District Management Board and the Van Don District were asked to analyze and evaluate the proposal of the public bathing pond and report it to the provincial People’s Committee for consideration as a basis for updating the master plan for development. On the boundary of the detailed planning study, Mr. Thanh also assigned the Management Board of economic zones to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the concerned departments and branches to update the national waterway lanes and high-voltage power corridors.

On that basis, instructing investors to study, propose boundary lines and boundaries above the hill to be feasible; Coordination with investors to ensure the synchronism between the adjacent projects.
