On December 23rd, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with the relevant agencies to check the implementation progress of the pilot plan of dealing with polluting facilities in Quarter 4 and Zone Street 5, Dong Hung Thuan Ward, District 12.

At the same time, propose solutions for each case. To strictly handle establishments causing environmental pollution, repeated violations but fail to comply with the relocation.

The deadline for production facilities to fulfill the commitment is before 31 December.

At present, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has coordinated with the People’s Committee of District 12 to set up an interagency working group to find out difficulties and obstacles faced by owners in the relocation process. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) also coordinates departments to develop preferential policies to support capital and interest rates for these companies. At the same time to set up guidelines, support and solve difficulties and problems of enterprises, monthly report to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

To ensure relocation, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment proposed that the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City continue to deal with production facilities that have not been granted land use right certificates. VRG Sai Gon Investment Joint Stock Company is in charge of studying and calculating electricity, water, wastewater treatment, steam, and heat supply in Le Minh Xuan 3 industrial park in accordance with regulations.
