According to a DKRA statistic, South’s 2018 supply will be around 12,000-15,000 units and more than 1,000 townhouses / villas. DKRA Vietnam said that although the supply and consumption of the South was not the market leader, the sector was generally stable in all segments. In particular, South supply is showing signs of increasing in the first quarter of 2018 increased 10% compared with the fourth quarter of 2017.

South will have “waves”?

This may continue to be the case in the South where there are many large-scale transport projects such as Nguyen Huu Tho – Nguyen Van Linh, Le Van Luong and Huynh Tan Phat. Nguyen Khoai – Ben Van Don bridge, Thu Thiem 4 bridge connecting District 7 with District 2, executing the last package of Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway passing through the south such as Nha Be.

General comments on the real estate market, DKRA Vietnam said that the first quarter / 2018 continued positive development, abundant supply while the demand is still quite good. Accordingly, in the last quarter, the supply of apartments continued to be plentiful, supplying to the market about 10,431 units, equal to 135% of the supply of 1/2017. Consumption of new supply was positive, reaching about 8,946 units (86%), equal to 166% over the same period in 2017.

DKRA Vietnam forecasts the supply of apartments will continue to increase in the coming time, fluctuating at more than 10,000 units. The supply of townhouses in Q2 showed signs of decline while the East and South areas will account for a large proportion of the supply of this segment. The residential area of ​​B, C will continue to hold a large proportion and attract the attention of investors as well as buyers.
