Thanh Ha Project of Muong Thanh: Scaffolding collapsed 3 injured

About 17h on May 4, a collapse of scaffolding occurred in the 16-storey apartment block of Thanh Ha project owned by Muong Thanh Group. The collapse of the scaffold caused at least three workers to be injured.

According to witnesses, while workers were working on the site, the scaffolding from the 12th floor fell, with many of the materials on the victims.

The people at the scene quickly took the victims out of the rubble and took them to the emergency room. Other workers were quickly moved out.

Confirming this, Dang Anh Phuong, Chairman of Cu Khe Commune (Thanh Oai District, Hanoi), said that three workers were injured in the incident.

According to Mr. Phuong, luck scaffold collapsed into a narrow slit in the site so the workers only minor injuries, no damage to people.

“We had first aid at the site and their health was stable. We asked the commune police to make a record of the incident and request the employer to strengthen the work safety.” Mr. Phuong said.

It is reported that this is not the first time the construction of the Muong Thanh Group occurred occupational accidents. Most recently, on April 25, 1974, at the Thien Trieu Hotel, Muong Thanh Hotel (Pham Van Dong Street, Vinh Phuoc Ward, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) Th. (born in 1980, staying at Giao Thinh, Giao Thuy, Nam Dinh) died after falling from the 18th to the 3rd floor.
