At present, Thao Dien area is implementing three projects to prevent flooding including the embankment embankment of Saigon River. Nguyen Van Huong road will carry out a project to construct a sewer with a cross section of 2.5 x 1.6 m and many round culverts connecting 800-1,500 mm. Pavement will also be upgraded to local sections to reach a height of 1.7 m above sea level. In addition, the project also includes the construction of four pumping stations to pump out water into the river during high tide encounters.
