The Largest Square In Vietnam Is Coming In Thu Thiem

With an area of over 20 hectares, the central square in Thu Thiem new urban area will become the largest square in Vietnam with a capacity of nearly half a million people.

Official information from Real Estate Investment Corporation Dai Quang Minh said this company has just reported to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City about the detailed planning of the scale of 1/500 Central Square and waterfront park at Thu Thiem new urban area. With the latest infrastructure planning, many apartment projects in Thu Thiem new urban area will benefit, increasing potential future price will certainly happen, the name of the projects such as:

• Lexington Residence
• Masteri Thao Dien
• Centana Thu Thiem
• Empire City
• Palm City
• Feliz En Vista
• Vista Verde

Central Square has the largest capacity ever seen in Vietnam

According to Dai Quang Minh, Thu Thiem Town Center Square will occupy an area of up to 20.72ha which is planned to be the largest public space in Vietnam.

In the future when put into use, this central square will become the highlight of both Thu Thiem new urban area with the length of about 700m and the width of 80 – 200m.

This will be the main venue for exchanges, organizing cultural and political festivals and daily leisure activities for the people of the city and visitors everywhere. Expected, the completion of the square will be able to accommodate nearly half a million people.

9ha water-front park, stretching more than 2km

Also in the planning blueprint report, Dai Quang Minh said it would build a 9.05ha riverbank park. This is a public building along the Saigon River in the center core, 2km from the center of the international exhibition north to the Sports and Recreation South.

It is known that when it comes into use, this will also be the City’s Botanical Garden with a rich and varied natural ecosystem, divided into several sections with different stripes of vegetation over the length of the city.

In addition, Thu Thiem Riverside Park is also used as a multi-functional public space, including landscaped areas and contemporary gardens, tree-lined avenues, sports facilities … To serve the fun and entertainment activities of crowded people.

Also in the planning of the riverfront park project, Dai Quang Minh will design a small ferry terminal and a water taxi station on the Saigon River for the purpose of transporting, servicing passenger and vehicle traffic from Me Linh Square To Thu Thiem.

The pedestrian bridge will link Thu Thiem to Dong Khoi Street (District 1)

Another noteworthy news is that the investor will build a 500m-long pedestrian bridge to connect the Central Plaza of Thu Thiem New Urban Area to the end of Dong Khoi Street (District 1). In addition to serving people moving between two areas, the bridge also integrates many different factors such as serving people to visit, organize festivals and attract tourists to Ho Chi Minh City.
