Regarding the progress of the project, Ha said that it would submit the project appraisal in January 2018. In the first quarter of 2018, investors will deploy ground clearance. As of 2016, the expansion of the sections from Nguyen Khoai to Hoang Cau (ie Tran Khat Chan, Dai Co Viet, Xa Dan, O Cho Dua) ​​has been completed. Due to its location in the center of Hanoi, the expansion of the Ring Road 1 has encountered many difficulties in clearing the ground.

On December 27, 2017, the Prime Minister signed a decision approving the policy of investing in the construction of Ring road No.1, Hoang Cau – Voi Phuc, Hanoi. This section has a length of 2.274m, a cross section of 50m, and an area of ​​about 153.341m2 (this section will have two overpasses facing the Ring Road 1 at Giang Vo – Lang Ha and Nguyen Chi Thanh.

As planned, the project implementation period from 2017 to 2020 with a total investment of VND7,779.3 billion. Thus, 1km of the project road Hoang Cau – Voi Phuc belt road 1 will cost up to VND 3,400 billion (1m of road will cost VND 3.4 billion). Accordingly, the Hoang Cau – Voi Phuc road will become “the most expensive road in the world”, far exceeding the cost of construction of two roads Kim Lien – O Cho Dua (VND 1.1 billion / m) and O Cho Dua – Hoang Cau market.

It is expected that funding for the project will be mobilized from other places and partly from the budget of Hanoi.

It is known that in order to carry out this project, 2,044 households are to be cleared (1,241 Ba Dinh district, 803 households in Ba Dinh district), with the resettlement demand of 2,239 apartments in Nam Trung Yen area, South West Kim Giang 1.
