Through strategic vision and by cooperation with prestigious international partners, BIM Group is gradually asserting its position in the real estate market of Vietnam.

The first overseas project of BIM Group – Crowne Plaza – was officially opened in late April in Vientiane, Laos. Because of being the first project in a very new market, Mr. Doan Quoc Huy, Vice President of the Group said that BIM Group is quite nervous when started constructing.

However, just after a few months of trial operation, everything has changed. Thanks to its prime location and international standard management services, Crowne Plaza has quickly become a popular destination for business and travelers coming to Vientiane for business and travelling purposes.

This is also the general strategic orientation of BIM Group to improve the work quality and services in the projects developed by the Group, “said Mr. Doan Quoc Huy.

Strategic handshakes

Although Vietnam’s real estate market is gradually developed, there is still a big gap with international projects. To narrow the gap, there is no other way instead of that businesses must learn how to “stand on the shoulders of giants,” means that using the technology of foreign real estate developers. Therefore, over the last time, BIM Group has constantly reached for famous and experienced partners in the world to co-develop the projects of the Group to new heights.

It’s the InterContinental Hotels Group, which is managing 5,000 hotels and resorts with 700,000 rooms in the world. BIM has assigned the important duty of management of Crowne Plaza Hotel in Vientiane to them.

This will also be the managing unit of InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort Complex in Phu Quoc island of BIM. With 255 hotel rooms, InterContinental will heighten the standard of hotel services for Pearl Island. At the same time, with 115 apartments and 5 villas for sale and then sub-lease, this is also the first resort project with InterContinental brand name in Asia.

In addition to InterContinental, the list of international well-known partners of BIM Group is getting longer and longer. Besides Fraser Suites project in Hanoi, BIM Group is also cooperating with Singapore’s leading investment and apartment management group, The Ascott to develop the Citadines Halong project.

Moreover, BIM has signed an agreement with leading Japanese retailer AEON Mall to develop its largest shopping center in Vietnam. Accordingly, the two parties will cooperate to build AEON Mall Ha Dong on the area of ​​9.5 ha located in Ha Dong District (Hanoi). According to the plan, the project will provide a total floor area of 200,000 when it is expected to open by the end of 2019.

In addition, BIM Group is also discussing with the world’s most luxurious hotel brands such as Park Hyatt and Regent to develop new projects in Phu Quoc.

To confirm position

According to Mr. Huy, before decided to cooperate with BIM, InterContinental Hotels Group also set out a number of strict requirements related to design standards, construction and services quality…, that not many domestic enterprises can satisfy. However, with the aim of raising international standards in each project, BIM Group as made all effort to meet the “tough” demands of top international brands and become one of the few domestic corporations be able to cooperate with reputable foreign partners.

Started doing business with Halong Plaza – the first 4-star hotel in Quang Ninh and quickly become famous in the real estate market, but BIM Group is also a leading aquaculture and seafood processing company in Vietnam which not many people know abouts.

BIM Group started to enter to this field from 2000 and up to now has owned 1,600 ha of aquaculture in Quang Ninh and Kien Giang. With a closed production-business model, BIM Group has a center for investing and developing seed sources lacated in Phu Quoc which is specialized in clean breeds and is capable of producing 3 billion breeds /year.

This source provides to the Dong Hoa shrimp farming area with area of 1,234 hectare in Kien Giang. This is the largest shrimp aquaculture in the country, using natural micro-biotechnology, yielding 12-16 tons/ha. From here, raw shrimp will be transported to Tac Cau seafood processing factory, reaching capacity of 13,000 tons of finished products /year, is operated under HACCP Standard and ISO14000.

Not only in aquaculture, BIM Group also owns the largest salt field in Southeast Asia in Quan The (Ninh Thuan province) with an area of ​​2,500 ha with a maximum capacity of 2,500 tons of salt /year. Salt factories of BIM with a capacity of 200,000 tons/year provide industrial salt to major clustomers such as Ajinomoto, Nestle, Orsan.

In addition, BIM Group owns a rice mill in Kien Giang with a capacity of 700,000 tons per year.

“It is not easy to do business in many industries, the fact that the Mekong Air has to stop flying is also regrettable, but we have learned valuable lessons to overcome difficulties and develop more strongly,” Mr. Huy said.

Besides real estate projects in Halong Marina urban area and Phu Quoc Marina tourism complex, BIM Group is investing heavily in trade and services segments.

At present, Elite Fitness has become a famous sports club with 9 gymnasiums; TiniWorld education and entertainment center with 25 centers nationwide is also benefiting through N Kid Corp.

By the end of 2016, Standard Chartered Private Equity has poured nearly 1,000 billion into N Kid Corp, and this has once again affirmed BIM Group’s reputation among international investors.
