When the Ring Road 2 is closed and put into operation, many experts consider the traffic situation in Ho Chi Minh City will be much better. According to Nguyen Van Tam, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City’s Transport Department, there are two segments of the Vanh Dai road, two sections not yet closed, namely the Rach Chiec bridge on the East Ring Road to the Go intersection. The project is being implemented in two phases. Phase 1 will build two new parallel lines on each side of the main route as planned, with a width of 10.5 m each (3 lanes). 2). There are a number of investors interested in the project and the Department of Transportation is guiding investors to study and prepare a project proposal as the basis for implementing the next steps.
These projects are expected to be invested in HCM City by way of compensation but because the financial plan is not feasible, the project has not yet been approved and implemented.
The project to build the section connecting Pham Van Dong road to Binh Thai road has a total length of 1,976.2m and width of 67m. The cross section of the building is 4m of pavement, 10.5m of pavement, 1m of separator, 16m of pavement, 4m of median strip, 16m of pavement, 1m of separator, 10.5m of pavement, 4m of pavement. The total is 67m. The project also includes Rach Ngang bridge with the length of 81.35m, the width of 24m .

Binh Thai traffic junction will be constructed in the form of an intersection of different levels. In addition, the project also includes the construction of the Duong bridge, which measures 171.3m in length and 19m in width.
Ring Road 2, after completion, will be an important and vital road, opening up new socio-economic development opportunities for Ho Chi Minh City in general, District 2, District 9 and Thu Duc District. private.
