Vietnam Airlines will invest in a 27ha aviation logistics center in Can Tho

People’s Committee of Can Tho City and Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines, UPCoM: HVN) have signed an agreement to deploy the project of Can Tho aviation logistics center with an area of ​​about 27 ha near the yard Can Tho flights.

People’s Committee of Can Tho city will facilitate the planning information, specialized guidance and related procedures for Vietnam Airlines to complete investment procedures and implement the project.

Currently, the domestic logistics industry is growing at 15-20% per annum. This is the first project in the aviation logistics project chain to implement the policy of the Prime Minister on the development of logistics infrastructure nationwide.

The logistics center will also help Can Tho not only transport infrastructure but also connect Can Tho and the Mekong Delta with localities outside the country, creating jobs, contributing positive for the community.

According to the representative of HCMC Department of Transportation In Can Tho, in 2017, there are more than 700,000 passengers and 4,000 tons of goods and mail through Can Tho International Airport.

The area surrounding the airport is convenient with three traffic routes along National Road 91, 91B and Vo Van Kiet.

Near the airport is the port of Hoang Dieu. In 2018, Can Tho City also allocated capital to make a horizontal route connecting National Highway 91 to 91B (which made a section along Highway 91).
