(+84) 898 898 688To move to the central areas from Diamond Island, there are 3 main transportation options:
Diamond Island -> Dong Van Cong -> Mai Chi Tho -> District 1, District 3, District 5: 10 minutes to move.
Diamond Island -> Dong Van Cong -> Phu My Bridge -> Phu My Hung, District 7: 10 minutes to move
Diamond Island -> Dong Van Cong -> Mai Chi Tho -> Hanoi Highway -> Thao Dien, District 2: 5 minutes.
As can be seen, most of the options are putting pressure on the Dong Van Cong road, not to mention a lot of residential projects together on this route. In the long run will not be a good choice. At the same time, this route focuses more container trucks towards Cat Lai ferry – a point to consider more about transportation infrastructure around Diamond Island.
On October 5, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City approved the project to build a road along the Saigon River from Kim Cuong Island to Mai Chi Tho. According to the master plan for the construction of District 2 to 2020, this north-south mainline road will be 25-30m wide, 6 lanes wide, and cross the Giong Ong To river and Gian Ong canal.
According to experts, it is likely that this plan will be officially started in the second quarter of 2017. After two years of implementation, the route will significantly reduce the traffic pressure on Dong Van Cong. In addition, the direction of moving containers has also shifted towards the completion of the Ring Road 2. Residents from Diamond Island will have more options for moving to the counties. Once the traffic congestion has been removed, Diamond Island will be more potent in terms of location, transportation, and convenient transportation. Transaction prices and apartment rentals are considered the high potential in current projects in District 2.
