The project of Tham Luong Canal … will be enforced after September 2015

Binh Tan district is urgently speeding up the ground clearance for the Tham Luong – Ben Cat – Nuoc Len canal project.

Mr. Lai Phu Cuong – Deputy Director of Binh Tan District Compensation Clearing (HCM City) – said that the district has set up a plan to mobilize compensation and support for relocation and clearance of land. The project of Tham Luong – Ben Cat – Rach Nuoc canal is located in Binh Tan district until September 2015. After that, the households will not be handed over land, the district will carry out coercive.

“Initially, the campaign will be mobilized to the maximum extent so that coercion measures can be used, but it is difficult to avoid coercion,” Cuong said.

Specifically, handover handover land, Binh Tan district has handed over 1,933 households (reaching 84.9%). There are still 334 households (occupying 15.1%) have not handed over the ground. Of these, 114 have received compensation but have not handed over the land and 10 businesses in Tan Tao Industrial Park.

Previously, regarding the compensation, support, resettlement and ground clearance of this project in Binh Tan district, Chairman of the People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan has agreed to Binh Tan district to implement. The withdrawal of clearance until the end of September 2015.
